MEMORY LANE

As I look back on my path

I can see its gone so fast

I have had the dark and crooked parts

The cracks and the difficulty off looking back

But my path is my own

The journey that shows how much I’ve grown

The things I’ve taught myself alone

If you are not my shadow you can’t possibly know,

 The story I have been shown

Everybody has their own

Be it destiny or chance

We all have a seed to plant

I’ve had the clear skies the picture perfects

The sparks that are kept in heart

They kept my path looking the perfect part

It’s true that from the very start

Your journey is your lesson

Your life’s portrait

The inner you comes from all you have been through

Who you are is in what you do

You are the author of your path

Different characters will come and go

But you’ve got to make the star of your own show

Don’t lose sight and don’t let go

Keep the priceless memories at show

And just know remembering the hurt is seeing how much you have grown

Keep control off all you known and take it with you as you continue to grow
