METAL MAN

METAL MAN

I'm working on this art
Like my life depended on a broken heart
To pick up the pieces of metal and scrap
The Picasso, when our daughter lays her trusting head on my lap

I'm a metal man
I got no business out here
The starving artist just ain't paying
I work, with the real of you playing
I'm a metal man

They all told me, but I was smarter
Each day feels like forever, each bar gets harder
To pick up, the weight of the world on my shoulders
You're the better man, the one who gets to hold her
I'm to busy being

A metal man
I got no business out here
'cause starving artist just ain't paying
I work, with the real you
I'm a metal man

I'm a metal man
Just a metal man
Trust me, the metal man
I'll let you down
The metal man
