Michelle's Missing

I got the news today, that no one knows where she is.

No amber alert because she's technically not a kid.

But she's been gone for a while, out in the winter rays.

So who cares that she's 18 when it's been 9 days.

And don't tell me it's a phase or that she ran away.

Don't compare my little cousin to every other case!

Cause her phone's left in the kitchen,

and her purse on the stairs.

So for the sake of my family, just act like you care.

I'll take the facade over the mono tone voice,

but I won't accept the lie that she left by choice.

Michelle's missing, where else can we look?

She hasn't even been on twitter or Facebook.

Stop suggesting that she's out chilling with friends,

and try to look at it through a warm heart's lens.

I keep looking at my phone waiting to hear that she's been found.

But, Michelle's still missing, so my families still bound.

Bound by fear, hoping for the best but expecting the worse,

and praying that she comes home to claim her leather purse

But how long must we wait? Only time will tell.

So until I see her face, I'll be screaming

"FIND MICHELLE!!"
