MIDAS AND MERLIN

Here is a fictional story that's rarely ever told
Concerns Midas and turning everything to gold
There is one thing that just wouldn't turn that way
Curses and damnation was what Midas did say

He spoke the magic words and waved his wand
Still no joy and this one thing didn't respond
Midas thought and didn't know what to do next
Left him astonished and really quite perplexed

Then a thought entered Midas' worried head
Amazing what ideas come before going to bed
He would have a little chat with Merlin next door
Guaranteed that he would sort it for sure

Morning came and Merlin lay down his spell
This one last thing now golden as they could tell
Midas thanked Merlin heartily so very much
For no doubt about it he had that golden touch
