Middle Age

Middle Age

Sleep, sleep I need to sleep
I am tired, stiff and wary
I ache in places I didn't know existed
When did this middle age creap up on me?
My brain works slowly
The speed has gone away
I work in slow motion
I have all this knowledge, ideas and plans
But my body has its own agenda!
I just cannot do what I used to do
Maybe it's time to slow down
Enjoy my knowledge and memories
and just breathe, relax,
and leave the madness to the young
