Midsummer Night

midsummers night-
e.webb

The moon sits dank in sky's hung thick,
draped Upon a warm'ed half.
this dusk, dimmed  complexion of night,
brings from roosts of day,
flying creations in chase above, yet featherless are they,

black does lack, winters might, seem fogged the stars display,
short is a midsummer night and Dawns chorus signals the ebbing day
from eastward rise in a pastel hue --encroaches in starts of blue,

summer in gold delight setting a day hoped fair,
nature in time of plenty so they can raise their young,
by chance of natures course untrimmed ,summers gold complexion,
sits in time undimmed
