Mime artist of the devil

Whatever gestures the devil's mime artist did,
they always came true,
he made the sign of a bottle being emptied
when he was in Sudan;
and there was a twelve year drought,
he didn't replenish the crops,
there was no rain,
millions starved to death.
then he dressed up as a woman,
this is about the time that there was a serial rapist at large,
he whispered into his ear that it was the right thing to do;
because the devil's artist was also a woman hater,
after all if it was not for the woman then;
he would never have been thrown out of heaven,
now he is destined to go back to the furnace.

I saw the mime artist the other night,
he came around when I was getting into bed,
he pointed,
made the cut-throat sign then disappeared,
so now I suppose I'm living on borrowed time.
