Poem -

missing pieces

I.
I never want to
relearn
who I was without you.

II.
You always said that
wherever I stepped,
flowers grew.
I know this isn't true
because I swear I keep finding petals
everywhere you walked.
You were always
the magical one.

III.
I kissed
the other (better)
part of me goodbye
in the airport security line-up
(forever stuck waiting for your return).
