THE MIST

THE MIST           TIM WILLIAMS AUGUST 2014

YOU TURN YOUR COLLAR UP AGAINST THE WIND,
USEING THE MIST AS A SCARF AROUND YOUR NECK,
THE SKIES TURN A BATTLESHIP GREY,AS IF IN ANGER
AND I SAY " IT WILL BE WINTER SOON ",
"THEN WE WILL DANCE IN THE SNOW COVERED FIELDS,
LEAVING FOOTPRINTS IN A CIRCULAR WALTZ".
LOOKING DOWN FROM THE LIME KILNS I SEE,
THE WHOLE VALLEY IS USEING THE MIST AS A SCARF,
NOT JUST YOU, SO WE DANCE ON TO THE MUSIC OF
THE WIND LAUGHING AND TELLING IT OUR SECRETS.
