Mister Misunderstood

People around me try to console my pain,
But they judge my emotions, and increase my shame.
I'm not a people pleaser, and for that, I'm disliked,
When I come around, people no longer get psyched.
I've lost my touch, my glow has diminished,
At this point I feel that my life is finished.
My family and friends ask; "Is there anything wrong?"
I reply no, but inside there's a sad song.
My soul is in despair because my love is wilting,
As time goes by my heart is tilting.
I want to, but I can't, be with the one I cherish,
So I have to face the fact that her love will perish.
I'm misunderstood like George Bush in the hood,
Sometimes I feel awesome, other times, not so good.
These fluctuating emotions, and bipolar flares,
Are tearing away at relationships, goals, and cares.
Sometimes I find myself sitting all alone,
Thinking of all the good times we had, truly homegrown.
My pain is shown daily, I give people attitude,
I ignore questions, and show no gratitude.
Is this the price to pay for a long love lost?
I know this is true because I've paid the cost.
It's time to move on, and find another love,
Put these depressing feelings on a permanent shove.
I'm searching for her, the woman for me,
I'll treat her like royalty, and she'll soon see.
I hope she'll understand me, and vice versa too,
So that we can one day present our love's debut.
I look forward to the day when I can hold her close,
And be together forever, full of an endless love dose...
Mister Misunderstood.
