Misty Blue

(1)
Misty was once in my arms,
But I could never hold her.
Like the beauty of a Sunset.
It lasted just as long.
And if you wonder why,
We call her Misty,
Just look into the eyes,
Of a Man that she's done wrong.Β
We rode some Broncs together,
Trailed hundreds of cattle.
Turning calves around in the corrals.
She took her lumps and bumps,
Like a good hand would do.
But she made it look gracefulΒ somehow.
(cho)
Misty you've me say,
That I love you.
Now you say, YouΒ don't believe it's true.
So how come every day I think of you?
And why are my eyes,
A Misty Blue?
(2)
I loved the way she moved,
Out on the dance floor.
Turning all the heads,
of every Cowboy in the Bar.
The way she'd smile at me.
The look in her brown eyes.
When we sang together,
As I played guitar.
But every beginning,
Must have an end.
On a Friday night, I said something wrong.
Guess I'll never really know,
Or even understand.
All I know for sure,
Is thatΒ she is gone.

That I Love you.
Now you say you don't believe it's true.
So how come every day I think of you?
And why are my eyes,...
A Misty Blue?
