I sold my soul for pretty pieces of clay,
I opened my bed and gave my heart away.
There's nothing left of me,

Waste it, where it's not wanted, where it will never be found.

My days I relinquish to grades, love for perfect A's,
But within a day, even those straight lines fade.

Brought there by crying myself to sleep again.

Chained to my wrist, nothing can keep it apart.
My lips smiling, bright red,
Heart's blood, misery fed.
Lies are written all over me,
Invisable ink, only I can see.
Promises made, promises broken,
They've all gone, but they've all left me scars, tokens,
Of a lie of a love they could not keep
Leave me bitter, they've stolen all my sweet.
But my hair is still the same,
If you get close enough, you can almost smell the shame
Of the loss of the sunshine girl i was before
But they all leave, I am traded for one has more.
My nights i spend alone, next to another man
Hoping, lying, maybe he's the one who can

That I'm broken, and men always go.
I build my armor up, piece by piece
Smooth myself, looks like perfection, not one viable crease.
But my food i leave on the plate,
I'm too full of self-hate.
