Moeise the little mouse and the cottage garden house.

Moeise the little mouse and the cottage garden house.

Moeise the little mouse & the cottage garden house.

Moeise the little mouse
Found foliage for a house, it wasn't warm or quite as safe not he first had thought

He once had shared the cottage garden, before the house was brought

Now cats moved in and caused a stir, and shivers upon his skin

To fight for it , of course he'd have to win

So he packed his bags
And moved on out
Now the cats had settled in

Night time in the foliage
Was quite a scary scene
The neighbours were some cricket's
And gosh those guys were mean

With little sleep this little mouse he looked like Halloween

It's time to move and find a place somewhere I can stay

He tried the mailbox upon the lawn
But couldn't sleep by day
The mailman and the letters were getting in his way

He packed his bags and found the garden shed
So many tools
And sharpened things

He wouldn't want to stay there long, just over night until first light

In search of a house he can settle in, something just quite right

Moeise didn't like the noises in the shed
The swinging ropes
Or the tapping

Then he finally Said

I'm going home to the garden no matter what it takes

Those crazy cats won't mess with me
I'll turn them into cakes

So he packed his bags and left for home
The cottage garden where he liked to roam

And settled in and found that he was all alone

Maybe I liked the noises, those cricket's seemed to be having fun, and maybe the mail delivery by day
Ment I could catch some sun

I didn't like the garden shed so many tools a little sharp

The musician in the house started Playing
The sounds of a beautiful harp

Moeise looked up at the night sky
All the stars were over head
He settled in , and lay down his little head

Tomorrow I'll face those cats and for once not be afraid
To stay here in my cottage garden
Where my house is made

As the sun arose and light shone down upon the flowers, moeise
The mouse woke up
With a fright
It was morning no longer night

Which ment those cats would soon outside
And wondering the grounds of the garden side

Moeise gained his courage, moeise gained his pride, and decided to stand his ground

The door to the cottage slammed real loud

Out came two cats
Very fat, with wobbly bellys that touched the dirt beneath

Oh no thought moeise
Looking at their teeth

Sharp and pointy hunger cats,
Meowing as they walked towards him

Moeise came out of the foliage and into the light
He squiked loudly
And gave them a fright

They were afraid, so they ran and hid
Moeise looking proud
And so glad that they did

They're not scary he thought to himself, cats afraid of a little brown
Mouse

Moeise cheered and cheered happily, because now he can keep his little house.

A Lonely Journey

Deano!
That was awesome!! All in a mouse's night, I suppose.
What a cute, wonderful write my friend! I just came back from a brief, 30 month hiatus, and came upon that, and loved it! Thank you.
