Momentary Wreck

Spark of Your Love

Momentary Wreck

The way you look at me
I suffer the ravages
of sin
The way you speak certain words
I absorb the impact
head-on, violent and loud collision
with sulfur and brimstone
Your eyes are the headlights I see
on a semi coming closer and closer
and I drive to you in my small car
Ready to be wrecked

The way you look at me
I pay the wages, outrageous interest cost, deny
I try to deny what I owe
To your heart I owe my real love
Could never show, could never light,
lead myself through the dark
Your love was the only spark
That would keep me going without thought of stopping

I'll come to you and I'll show
Not denying what I owe
To your heart, to your love
We will rise above
This momentary wreck
