Moments

Moments

Droplets of water appear in my eyes at the memory of the moment,
My fingers run over these keys as they have many times before
But I'm struggling to find the words to describe this breakthrough loment

It's hard to tell the difference at times like this, what was real and what was not,
And now I start to doubt myself because was it just a dream?
That is why I told myself to write it down or lest it be forgot

We're all around the living room; talking and smiling together
He with mum and she with dad and I have the cats on my lap
The lights are low with the TV on - I hold it in my mind forever

I know to some it sounds simple enough this small evening component,
But pure happiness I felt then will take me through each day
Now you and I have this memory you know the true value of each moment.
