Poem -

Money,money,money

Sitting here on my own
Looking round my humble home..
Thinking of all that I could do..
If only I  had a quid or two..

Lavish sofas and real wooden floors,
Gold handles on my new French doors.
Crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling,
I'd soon adapt to that feeling..

My kitchen  would be just "Class"
With marble worktops speckled with glass...
My tiles would glisten and my chrome fittings would shine,
And my fridge  would be full of great food all the time..

Without money I'm still content..
Even though I've   got my "lotto win" spent..
I've got my friends, my family, my health, and that to me is my wealth....

Sometimes old memories,
Come creeping through my mind.
And I think about who I once was...
