Monster

Monster

oh the stress and mayhem it eats me alive

or perhaps a fictitious monster with black pepper and endive

lift this burden from my heavy yet soft shoulders

I must miraculously get through, stay tough and get older

tough times, tough life, tough people creating havoc

swiftly lift my burden, send me love and nap in a hammock

The sea, the sand, the sky and the breeze

take me to another place and grant me some ease

shed my skin like a snake in the wild

tell myself I am no longer a child

Stand tall and be the woman that is a bulldog

silent and strong with the leap of a frog

off my Lillypad you monstrous beast

my monster will devour you as his feast

crunchy and meaty my monster will devour

you will keep him satisfied for an hour

your flesh and bones are gone completely

now you will never defeat me
