Poem -

Monster

You’ve left a curse on me,
The pain that never goes away,
The memories that haunt me while I’m awake,
The darkness that I have embraced,

The demons that control my mind,
The cuts on my skin that once made blood race down my skin,
The wall of thorns I put around my heart,

You’ve turned me into a monster,
a monster whom cannot find the light,

When I say you; you know I mean me,
My heart that’s broken into pieces,
I’m not whole or good anymore,
I’m a creature of the dark and the cold,

I’m a monster and now no one can find me,
No one will accept me,
I have one friend; one companion- The Dark.
