Monster can't cry

Monster can't cry

The pain and misery,
They said even the devil would have mercy on you.

You begged me to stop,
begged god to take you away.

But he didn't hear, he was on my side,
God was with the monster.

You escaped, but I was still with you.
Haunting your sleep, forcing you to remember.

You escaped, but you didn't escape me.

Then I found you,
after so long.

I said I was sorry,
I knew it wasn't enough,
but I had to try

I... I cried.

You started to whisper,
But you can't cry,

Then you started yelling.

MONSTER CAN'T CRY
Monster can't cry.

I tried to keep apologising,
saying I was sorry.
Begging.

My voice, it hurt you.
It hurt you so much.

I hurt you so much.

I knew I broke your heart,
but now I know, I broke your soul.

I destroyed the only person who loved me.
I destroyed you.

But monsters do cry. For what are these words but your tears. Brilliant write...
