Poem -

Moonlit Lies

The sun, it sets
Dragging down pleasant memories
Stripping my mind to nothingness
Violating my soul

Darkness is the rapist giving me forced kisses,
Falsely comforting me saying it's okay
forcing my heart to comply with its plan to dominate me

Blindfolded by the hands that are choking me, wanting me to die
Infecting my heart with pain
My eyes with tears

Reading my bodily brail
As I trace the scars with my finger
Every line tells its story
Every scratch cries for help

I am drowning with the darkness
The sun has brought me down
The moon now shines with the stars
Not knowing the truth about its companion
