Moonlit Night

I watch the sunsetting with you 
It's getting hidden by the horizon as the moon goes up 
The stars come lit with blue 
They dance around in the scarlet cup 
The sky is warm and bright 
It brings joy and warmth to me 
The moon giving off the pale white light 
As it's reflection appears on the sea 
The sandy beach is cold and dry 
But being with you makes tonight worthwhile 
And on the cold sandy shore we lie 
And from this day forth with you I know I want to walk down the aisle 
I see your sparkling eyes in the light glistening 
Hearing the sound of the waves smashing across the rocks 
I am too involved with the moment to be listening 
To the sound of creaking docks
