Moonrise
No more demise of romance in the wind
There's a call that cues harmony, muses interwoven shine
A sanctity gets instilled by night
As the dark begets light
Frozen streams of blue rays through skeletal trees
Silent maelstroms of turmoil, still
For good acts are disavowed because of playing monkeyshines
with the holy,
They prayed and blessed meÂ
Oh, let the light arrest me
The holy light, finds of old treasure
that was buried...
deep within the confines,
the void of nether mines
of my heart
Garish, though it was
Now it's gray, uncertain
Undecided on love even as romance whirls
in the saline wind
Do I love the night that falls too quickly?
Like a woolen blanket that is thrown over
I see it as such
But, the moonrise does deliver dreams
The stars are as such
They glow and shine to the touch
Do not chase too much
For they fall, for they unravel
like a love story told by a burned heart
And my heart is growing bright
As the dark begets light
Finds of old treasure that was buried
