Morning

Morning
when I awoke today
the rain had gone away
I can see the sun and its rays
I can see the hope that springs forth each day
I do know today is free
from yesterdays cruel embrace
I can tell by the look on my face
It's a new day like no other
It's a Day I choose to be free 
A gift of hope just for me
