Mortal Mind

Mortal Mind

Dark angels
In my head
Radiant in black
Not one of them smiling
Whispering together
Leaving me to wonder
What is the secret?
That they won't share
Wings folded and still
Like ebony statues
Beautiful, otherworldly.
I ask Them to speak louder
TO prove their  innocence
To ease
My mortal mind
