Poem -

Mother

Sweeter than sugar

Happier than the sun

Makes you want to hug her

All the good she has done

Wiser with age

Slightly older with time

Life like a turning page

An unending crime

Lovely can she be

But also accidentally cruel

Though she can not see

The tears of the fool

The children she has bared

Growing older and further

The love that they shared

Almost lost memories to her

The smile on her face

Just a colorful mask

"Put on a happy face"

Is what they all ask

So helpful and loving

No time for her problems

She will keep on suppressing

Until the headache comes

Though we all love her

We will never really know

The sacrifices that occur

Which she refuses to show
