Mother Earth

Seasons

Mother Earth

Bitter breeze envelops the warmth of the sun,
Dragging it into the distance, Autumn has begun
Cloaks of darkness wrap lightness too soon
The only light now comes from the moon

Summer has gone in the blink of an eye
Sunlight and warmth all now too shy
Another year over, 12 more months to go
For the return of warmth with the floral show

Time goes too quickly don't take it for granted
Find the things that have gone are the things we most wanted
Treasure each season for it's individual worth
We can't change the cycle of Mother Earth
