Mother to her Son

Mother to her Son

Little blue eyes like sapphires they sparkle,
When its feeding time you goo goo and gargle,
Clutching my finger with yours so tight,
I have been waiting for you, this moment, perfect, so right,

Your stare at me as you drift into a deep sleep,
So content with life, my heart pelts and leaps,
Blonde wispy hair that’s so fine and soft,
I stroke your head, relaxed, you doze off,

Perfect little features you have, so precious,
This love I feel, unconditional, good gracious,
One day you will grow and I will do all I can,
To show you the world and guide you with a plan,

But do not worry if my plans are not yours,
It’s just a guide; you make your own goals and scores,
I will be here whatever you decide to do,
Your mother, forever, I will support and love you.
