Mothers

Mothers

You are my soul.Β
I was born of your heart your half of what makes me whole.
Always reminded me I was smart and told me I was handsome.
Even though I cursed your name when you held my PlayStation for ransom.
I always loved you, mum. From the bottom of my heart.Β
Through every trial and tribulation, you made sure this family was never torn apart.
Even if that meant working from 5 am to 6 pm, come home, cook, clean, sleep and then go out again.Β
You and dad never let us go out without, new garms, new games, you bought them cars to avoid the trains yet every day you walked to the next house in the rain. You left your motherland so we wouldn't have to do the same.Β
You are god perfect angel you made the souls of my demons hurt. Even with a broken back and a broken heart, all you could do was work. All you could do was cry and soldier on and hold lies to protect those of us who did not deserve your elegance, your excellence was not just for your medicines but the way you brightened up the days of this dreary world.Β
