A Mother's Love

A mother's love is nothing like the rest

But no such love so simple and so pure

Till this day I remain in her warm nest

No one in this world can carry her cure.

She lifts me up whenever I am down

Nurturing and caring so patiently

Fairest complexion so pretty and brown

With a smile so soft- so right and friendly

Seasons and times  change but her warmth lingers.

Her smile may fade and go but her love remains

Still I yearn to feel her soft, warm fingers

Never can she be harsh and inhumane

Good and bad I will pray her soul to keep

As she watches over my life so sheik.
