Mothers worry ☹️

I am your Mother 
So I will worry about you
Its not something I can stop
Thats what Parents do

You say this is unnecessary
There really is no need
But sometimes you don’t listen to my advice
You do not take no heed

I was young just like you
So know what you’re going through
My Mam fussed & fretted about me
She was a worrier too

And yes I used to say to her
Mam I am perfectly okay
But she never used to take any notice
Of anything I did say

Its just the way we are
I’m afraid we will never change
We like to prepare the way for our young
If wrong we will rearrange

So when its your turn to be a Mother
You will know exactly what I mean
The anxiety you show for your offspring
Will be the worst theres ever been
