Mourning Sunshine

Mourning Sunshine

Crying by the gravesite,
Mourning one I love,
Reliving all our memories,
Now them living above.

Reality then chases,
Reminding of this fact,
That they are gone forever,
And won't be coming back.

Heartache presses deeply,
My soul to feel the pain,
But then also remember,
I'll see them one fine day.

In time we'll be together,
God only knows the date,
As He's the one with record,
The ruler of our fate.

Thank you, Jane ❀ Grief is a reality we all have to face in life, which I thought all readers could relate to this poem in some way with having lost a loved one. I appreciate your read and comment. ?
