Why?

Why must you always reappear every time I've let you go?

My heart can't take this pain as i stare at you with tears

I think of all the years 

The man i used to know

But who is that man I see?

It's not the man that I once loved

Just a cage,a mask with a soulless brute trapped inside 

You say that you love me but when asked why, you say you 'just do'

That is not love my dear 

But a habit

And a habit we must break through.

So I'll cut the ties 

Press pause on your web of lies 

I'll find a man who treats me right

so that when i look in his eyes 

I see his desire

And when I step into his arms

I hear a church choir

And I'll move on

Move on from you

And you'll stay here

And drink your beer 

Because I'm packing my bags

And I'm moving on

Don't bother coming back tomorrow

Because I'll be gone 

I'd have packed my bags and paid my dues and looking for something
