Poem -

Moving on

I loved you
Simple words
That were often true
A scene of mutual need
A  love that wanted to grow

Things can change
Hearts see what eyes open dodged
Mouths once closed uttered hurt
No time left for understanding
Sorry but I no longer love you
Harsh words that could be true

A flame still burns
A candle that flickers randomly
A desire that is tainted by me and you
Now is the time we allow us to be free
Flee for your sanity

One day may return
Where we agree to past fantasies
When remembering hurts but realistically
It may be like therapy
An act of maturity
