MOVING ON

He sat on a bench alone with his thoughts
Just a homeless man according to reports
Will probably stay there for a long time
Loitering on a bench isn't a serious crime

The cops see the man and ask him to move
What is it they object to and disapprove?
Is it the state of the man's untidy clothes
Only the cops know the answer I suppose

So the man moves from his comfy bench
Such an upheaval and certainly a wrench
The man now begs on a busy city street
Holes on his jumper no socks on his feet
