Poem -
Mr. Sandman 🤣
Hey Mr. Sandman don’t you sprinkle that on me
I know I am still wide awake and it is quarter past three
But I went and ate cheddar cheese on toast for my tea
And that dairy stuff always gives me a sleepless night you see..
So save your grains of grit for some other eyes
If you wanna serenade me some lullabies
Then I may drift of to dreamland before the early morning sunrise
But don’t make my eyes sandy and antagonise..
Mr.Sandman why on earth do you do it
Who the hell wants to lie in bed with an eye full of grit
That serves no purpose and it doesn’t help a bit
In any case you should be sleeping yourself you absolute twit!!!

Jill this did make me chuckle 🙊 I lay awake all the time. And I read somewhere cheese can give you nightmares. I also now have the song in my head 🎶 mr sandman bring me a dream🎶 But in this case it should be don’t you dare bring me a dream 😂 Loved it thank you.
