Mummy

Bundles of joy  tears of laughter
Sleepless nights, moments of worry and panic.
You are protector, teacher, comforter
And as they grow, you put trust in others to protect, at nursery school and college.

Then suddenly, you become an inconvenience.
Yes, an inconvenience, until money problems need to be sorted.
But for the rest of the time you are invisible, the silent partner.

And as you grow old, when you need them more, they are further away.
Often to busy with their lives to see.
To understand that the roles are now changing, that now, with age, YOU are the child and you need your mummy.
