Mushy Peas

While
abroad
in the
?? Uk
i came
across
a cuisine
called
“Mushy Peas”.
I am sure if
you grew
up
with this
delight
it would
be considered
an incredible
side dish
to add
to any
entree
but to
a
foreigner
who is
tasting
it for
the first
time...............
umm not
so much.....
However
with this
said
I understand
the Brit's
fascination
to a dish
that others
may not
enjoy
for this
writer
is from
the south
and I
do love
me
some
grits
with
loads
of butter
and
hot sauce...........................

lol....who would write a poem about mushy peas ...never really thought about the as they are in our bill of rights, ..what about peas pudding ? a Geordie dish ? peas cooked to death and spiced with ham, eaten cold on bread ..it has its own nursery rhyme..peas pudding hot, peas pudding cold, peas pudding in the pot nine days old...x
Yeah it was different. Like fish and chips though and your fine bitters ale
U-h-h-h-hhhhhhhh, no, Greg.
I ain't tryin' Mushy Peas.
I'm really picky about my green veggies--what I'm willing to eat and what I'm not even willing to try.
Mushy Peas definitely falls into the latter category.
Now, I know you're gonna' say something like, "Hey, don't knock it until you try it, Deano."
But I don't have to taste pig testicles to know they ain't gonna be on my list of favorite foods, heh-heh...
