Music of Life
dedicated to ..........Kay!

Song of the forest; down by the tripping creek,
Wind whistles through, toads trying to speak.
Soaring Eagle screams! across the long valley,
All the rabbits scatter! from their social rally.
Pine needles soften steps; of the tip toeing deer,
While the Mountain Lion stalks; from rocks very near!
Knock of the Woodpecker; echoing through the trees,
Announcing the Elk's bugle; carried on the breeze.Ā
Mountains add a chorus of distance and play!
To the waterfall's cascading; roaring display!
Happy are the chipmunks; in their rocky terrain!
To ad little chirps; in the calming refrain.
Hawk's shriek! slices through the air like a knife!
Cutting a portal; for the music of life.

JIM!!.....a truly beautiful sonnet......and not only is this VERY poetic but it has an educational aspect to it that is undeniable......you understand and convey the sounds created in the wilderness exceptionally well.....like the soundlessness that pine needles create on the forest floor......PINNED for your effort to bring "The Music Of Life" to the masses......Bravo my friend!!.....well done.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xoĀ :Ā )
