My Baby, 
I always thought I knew what love was,
but I was wrong,
Staring down at your sleeping form,
the face of an angel,

I always thought I knew what fear was,
but I was wrong,
when they first handed you to me,
I was scared for real,
for the first time ever,

I always thought I knew what they meant,
when they talked about that feeling,
that comes over a person,
when they hold there child,
for the first time,
again I was wrong,

I will make many mistakes through out my life,
but keeping you,
was not,
and never will be one of them,
sometimes I might mess up,
but no matter what I will always love you,
