Even though I can make you smile,

I know you can't stay a while.

Just speaking with you has always been enough,

Cause you're there for me when things get tough.

A moment with you is like a lifetime of happiness,

Even though as we speak it creates a bigger mess.

I'm glad to know we're on the same page,

Even though there's a difference in age.

You seem to know how to turn my mood around,

And I'm grateful, a friend in you, I've found.

Just so things don't get any more sticky...

Your eyes seem to intimidate,

They even slow my heart rate.

Your smile makes me nervous,

And at times you can be so vicious,
