My Breakthrough

Through tough times

I walked a journey in need of patience

Mind that is fed positively

Hope and faith for my soul

Never did I doubt every step I took

Regardless judgments, criticism and assumptions

Only looking up to God

For his my provider

I lost friends in between

Became a nobody in the relationship

I became unrecognized, undermined and disrespected in my family

Never was I aware that ‘employment’ is your identity on this earth

What you do is who you are in this world

Status has taken over

Even qualifications no longer apply but connections

I became so aware of how expensive friendship and relationship is

But I was grateful for no time was wasted waiting

My patience and prayers got delivered

Through my tough times I grew to appreciate more out of nothing

Love more, forgive, seek peace and be grateful

I learnt to accept what I cannot change

To do good to those who do you wrong

To never give up believing

To always look at the bigger picture

To hold on and conquer

I am happy

I am where I been longing to be

Home at last
