MY CONFESSION

I've lived a life of lies
For such a long time
Sometimes I made you cry
So I can be satisfied.
I've caused you sorrows and pain
Yet you were there for me
You are more than a woman
And I am half the man
That I should be.
I held you close in my arms
And told you how much I care
But actions speaks louder than words
And my presence only brought fear.
I am carried away by lust
And driven by deceit
Although I know it's wrong
Selfishness caused me to repeat myself.
I have robbed you of your love
And abuse your trust
Confession may be good for the soul
But my heart is still corrupted.
The weight of the word Sorry
Cannot be compared with the plea of guilty
In the scales of justice
So I thought it best to confess.
