Yesterday
behind the
Podium 
I said
Goodbye 
To you

Poetic Verse

Today
My sisters
Hovered
Around
The kitchen
Table 
Like vultures
DissectIng
your financials 

IT was the whispers
That gave me
goosebumps
Of PTSD
proportions 

Spouse to the left
SIBLINGS to the right
Creates a symbolic
Pillow
designed
To smother
my mother
And I 
Within
The middle

Secrets
transposed
Themselves
Where your
Death became
A mirror
To the quicksand
I threw ourselves
in

Shame
Is the
Scarlet letter
That is now
Tattooed 
Across my
Head
Redemption 
Becomes
The modern day
snake oil
Created 
By the illusionist
Called 
"Life"

I am in pain
I am in sorrow
and it is
" Kharma"
that  comes 
As a cold 
cracked
Freedom
Bell
In The midst 
of dawn
To  obstruct
my thirst 
To mourn
with the 
haunting
Sound
Of it's 
TOLL

Dad
I never 
Wanted
This
I wish my
Good intent
Would  have spread
Its' peaceful pedals
upon you
Before you left
This earth
But instead
My vanity
Has tainted
your Urn
leaving
The father's 
crucifix
Of unconditional 
Love
As eternal 
Residue
conflicted
By a son's  
foolish
