My Daughter's Eyes

My Daughter's Eyes

There are some things
That you will learn
On the road ahead

You have to trust me
Your legacy
Starts with what you see

So open your eyes
Don't run, don't hide,
Reach for the sunlight

I'll be by your side
Just step into my eyes
I'll guide you through the night
Just stand and fight
My little girl
Promise you'll open your eyes

It's not over
You're not done here
Please, don't give up
You know I care,
I brush your hair
Out of your face,
Please, look at me!

I'm begging God in the sky
Please open her eyes
There's nothing I'll ever need
In this world
Please, speak the word
Open my daughter's eyes
