Poem -

My final home

A floral wreath upon my door
a single room within
a silken rug upon my floor
with ruffled satin trim.

a welcome placed at doorstep
a neatly tended lawn
a garden bed of daisies
look to the summers morn.

many neighbors near and far
yet days are spent alone
in restful sleep and solitude
in my final home

Tiny pinpricks

darkness
she lays still
