My first free verse..

I feel I should delve within my inner soul.. to create an artistic expression that does not rhyme.. 

Just a free verse piece of poetic wording..is probably well out of my league and alas not in my comfort zone.. Tho I shall try my utmost to make it flow..As each line follows another..in a smooth..mellow fashion

Though amidst the consciousness of my rhyming mind.. I feel something is amiss.. Am I narrating a short story ? Or perhaps just stating the obvious ? I need an awful lot more practise.. to conquer my goal..
