My First Love Letter

Here I’m to write my first love letter

To my sweet heart who insisted!

Prior to writing, I thought of using

Sweet, sweeter, no sweetest words

About her, and all about her

Importance in my life

And how much she matters me!

But when I took pen to write,

I started running short of words,

Though I had a good vocabulary.

Everytime I wrote a word

Hoping to express my feelings

Immediately I felt it lacked

The glow and lustre  and

Cut a line across it, hoping

To find a better word in place!

Hours passed by, but here I’m

Without a line written

Whatever I wrote, I was

Too busy to strike it off!

It was too short to express

My feelings for her,

To describe her beauty,

For I feared a little negligence

On my part would axe down

Our relations forever!

Finally, here I’m with my

First love letter ever to be posted!

A blank white sheet without any words

But with an impression of my lips,

“You’re too precious to be caged

In a few words of page -

You know me and my feelings for you –

I’m sure, I can’t write to you!

Here’s is her reply the next day,

With the white sheet I had sent her

With her kissing lips on my lips.
