For my friend Leanne who died of breast cancer in July 2013
There is not much I canÂ
say to bring back LeanneÂ
I am powerlessÂ
I recall her laughterÂ
A cackle, she was alive!Â
I am powerlessÂ
Leanne was my friend's girl
Part of the gang but nowÂ
I am powerlessÂ
I hadn't seen her for twenty years
Then I face-booked her, no replyÂ
I am powerlessÂ
Leanne you are missedÂ
My tears can't believe you're gone
I am powerlessÂ
Leanne,Â
died of breast cancerÂ
I am powerlessÂ
and missing youÂ

I really do know what you mean, I lost my friend Debbie one year ago Oct. 5, and I can't believe it either, I wrote a poem about her, you may have read it, "Angels Winning Team"
She may not be her in body but she is in spirit, and she is on a winning team! I feel your sorrow.
