My Garden

My Garden

Twixt my settle under glorious glow,
Purple Acer amidst the green,
Salmon Azalea & Dahlia grow,
Flourishing hue paints serene.

Calendula & Agapanthus in borders surround,
Fresh blue, white & golden & bright,
Deep green blades cover most of the ground,
Partially shaded, I bask in the light.

Barefoot I tread softly in hark,
Scent of Cherry Blossom enters my nose,
Entranced by nature, beauteous in lark,
I love the smell of fresh clean clothes.

Away from the world, my children in play,
Emerald, yellow beneath sky blue,
Especially now I spend most of the day,
My very own sanctuary, my garden in view.

As a gardener, I could relate to your poem so clearly. You described the plants, the scene and was able to incorporate rhyme as well, great work!Β

Thank you so much I asked the wife about what plants we had because she's the gardener.Β  It just came to be because the sun was shining and I just realise how lucky we are to have our own sanctuary.
