My Girl

My girl is electric!
She's genuine she's gentle and oh my god
when she's around my heart beats too fast,
my voice becomes shaky, I'm too damn nervous to express
how I feel, my palms break out in a sweat and all these
anxieties run through my head at
1,975mph I can't breathe.

My girl is otherworldly!
I could listen to her endlessly, the way she
over-pronounces words and grows oh so enthusiastic when
she talks about the things that make her melt and
when she says my name I feel as though
I have been set ablaze I am gladly and undeniably
infatuated with her.

My girl is wholesome!
She's so passionate and caring but thinks
she'll never be good enough I wish I could tell her
how she makes me swoon, I'm over the moon!
Everything about her, every detail, every quote-on-quote flaw every
time I see her I am floating

My girl is a hurricane!
She is wildly fierce but overflowing with compassion that
people in the past have used and
abused but she
always forgives those who have wronged her
even if it doesn't feel right I just wish
she could trust me.

My girl is scared!
Scared that I will crush her, scared that I will
take all her brilliance for granted scared
that she will squander all her tenderness
all her love on somebody who does not care but I am
not them I am not dangerous I simply want to give her the
appreciation that she deserves.

My girl is so much more than just words and metaphors!
She is the reason I am at last a positive person! She
is the reason I can fall asleep happy at night!
She is
